Configure Communication Consent for the Booking System and VGM

To configure the communication consent sections within your booking system, navigate to Config > Settings in the top menu, and select the “Messaging” tab.

Configuration Options

The default consent duration, in months. Consent expiry will be calculated based upon this value. Adding consent within VGM will default the expiry date to this number of months past the current date.

SMS / Email Label

The labels that display next to the SMS and Email checkboxes within the booking system. Suggestions for this field would be simply “SMS” or “Send me SMS Messages”.

Pre-tick

Whether or not the SMS and Email checkboxes within the booking system are pre-ticked by default when loaded. GDPR guidelines require that consent checkboxes are opt-in, therefore not pre-ticked by default, so we recommend leaving these un-ticked.

Preamble

The preamble is the text that appears before the SMS and Email checkboxes within the booking system. You may wish to customise this to be more specific about which types of messages are affected by granting or withholding consent.

Privacy Policy

The Privacy Policy will display within the booking system alongside any request for communication consent. Privacy policies contain important information about how you collect, store, and use data from your customers. Customers will expect you to follow your privacy policy when handling any of their data.
